EE Terrible customer service

I am trying to leave EE (I have no time left on my contract so that's fine). I have been with them or orange (their previous name) for about 10 years but it's just so expensive and I've found much cheaper elsewhere. BUT they are being so obstructive....on hold for ages, wouldn't let me talk to a manager, saying I have to go into the store and then hung up when I was saying that I wasn't impressed!!! Argggh just need to vent really. I understand that they don't want me to leave so they will make it difficult for me but this is such bad customer service 😢 Any bit of loyalty I had left for them has just disappeared. What happened to the days of good customer service?

Go to carphone warehouse and rhey’ll Help you cancel your contract and set up the new one.

They were dreadful when I left after 5 years 18 months of which were hell with no signal and constant billing issues.
When you do manage to cancel, which you shouldn't have to speak to a manager to do just the leaving team, watch your credit report and check they don't continue charging you. I had bills for three months after my contract notice term ended which were added to my credit report, but the number had been disconnected and they never wrote to me to say they were still billing me, obviously because I didn't know I wasn't paying. Only found out almost 6 months later when I checked my credit report about something else and it has taken well over a year to get sorted.

The only reason you wouldn't be able to do any of the above is is your failed DPA. You have to verify your account in order to get into it. If you can't by your passowrd or the questions they ask you then they ask you to present to store to reset your password,
Trying to get account altered without DPA passing is having them break the law.
Simply go to a store with your ID
