Innies and outies... Very Important Question!

If you have an outie tummy button and you put on lots of weight, does it turn into an innie?

DS2 and I have debated it and can't decide. It has led to many other related tummy button questions...

I have an innie. I put on lots of weight and it turned into a Very Deep innie.

Have very pregnant people with outies always had outies, or have they popped out as a result of pregnancy?

I realise world peace does not hang upon the answer, but I may sleep better tonight for knowing...

For your statistics:
I had an 'innie" I got pregnant and it went out (both times) - now it's back in again.

I’d say yes. I had an outie as a child, I’m now fat and have a deep innie!

Oh I forgot outie until I started school, innie from then on at 54kg and 70 Kg

I'm feeling very reassured. The world works the way I thought it does...! DS2 thought that you were either an innie or an outie, and that the tribes were fixed!

Mine's always been an innie so am not qualified to answer.

Although during pregnancy, my belly button was very flat, it was neither an innie nor an outie.

Off to break the news to DS2. Mummy is always right. Grin

DS is considering whether to overfeed the outies so we are all one clan, or whether to eye suspiciously all the plump outies who masquerade as innies. Oh, the worry.

I had an innie until I had dd and now I have a flattie.
It's weird.

OutPinked · 31/08/2018 18:21

I have a very deep innie that pops out in pregnancy.

OytheBumbler · 31/08/2018 18:24

I loved it when my innie popped out during pregnancy. I could give it a good clean!

It's gone back in again now though so who knows what's lurking in those depths. Blush
