Does anyone use Mitchum gel? Does it smell weird?

They didn't have my usual roll-on (the pink one which I think is called Powder Fresh) but they had a new gel type on special offer in the same scent. I think it has a really strong solvent type smell. It took me ages to work out where the smell was coming from, I was searching the car as the smell was noticeable there as there was lots of arm movement when driving. Has anyone else tried it?

I had this problem too and I'm pretty sure that I started a thread on it.

I gave mine to DD thinking that maybe it just didn't agree with me and my menopausal body but she had the same problem.

I've tried other 48hr gels since and had similar problems but not as bad as with Mitchum.

Did you go back to roll-on OMGTKK? I would have stuck with that if it had been in stock. I really don't want to have to change brand, I used to use Original Source but they stopped making it and I tried loads of different ones that gave me a rash before I settled on Mitchum. If they've actually stopped supplying roll-ons in order to push the gel then I will be stuffed (and smelly).

I went back to a roll-on ( a Sure one) and sometimes use an aerosol one (Sure 48hr one).

The only reason I'd tried the gel was because I found that with the menopause I was getting sweatier and hotter and that I needed something nearing industrial strength!! 😁

I have used Mitchum Shower Fresh spray for years and loved the clean smell. Because it is expensive I stock up when it is on offer.

Last time I bought it the smell had changed and is now a nasty sickly smell. I won’t be buying it again.

I wonder if they have changed the recipes? If so, a bad move as they will lose customers.

I've found this with the gel. It also gave me absolutely appalling skin irritation. I buy the 48hr cream Mitchum in the boxes now. It's more expensive but is brilliant and doesn't irritate my skin.

I've found that Mitchum isn't working well for me at all lately. Thought it was just me, but maybe not.

Where do you buy the gel. Have only seem roll on, the stick form or the spray. Have bought the gel in Canada and used to bring loads home. Have not used it in a while but bought 2 sprays recently on offer which I will use when current one is done. Husband prefers gel deodorant and also used to stock up on the one for men but now buy the Gillette one (the only gel one I can find for men here)

I always used to get the unscented Mitchum spray, but the last 2 I bought have had a horrible flowery scent. I don't think it works as well either so assume they have changed it.
I've changed to another (unscented) brand.
