My mum on my birthday

Every year my mum doesn't even send me so much as a card. It's my birthday today, she visited me for the first time in months the other day and said she didn't get me card as she spent a fortune on her train ticket. I said that's ok but inwardly I am thinking you can get a card for 50p so that's a shit excuse. I just got a text from her "Hi, please can you send me the pictures from when I came to visit", didn't even wish me happy birthday!!!

I'd be replying with, "Er, think you forgot something? ;)"

It's pretty poor behaviour on her part, imo.

I'd be extremely upset and disappointed at this! My parents forgot to call me on my birthday this year and we're very apologetic the next day, which was good, because I was rather hurt. How is your relationship with her normally? Could you tell her you find this kind of behaviour quite hurtful?
