Have been sat thinking this evening that I would like to take the DC's yo a festival next year. Nothing too raucous but fun and lively. A Google search brings up loads of suggestions but would love some experiences and recommendations.

Camp Bestival most child-centric one that still
has great music, IMO, and really fab for under 10’s. Only downside is absolutely huge. Cornbury most civilised and lot smaller with fun fair, good for 8-14 year olds, I’d say, as small enough to give them quite a bit of freedom. Carfest always a good laugh for families and covers all ages. The smaller local festivals kicking about are also v good for families usually, regardless of music (which can be crap).
