C-section, Sterilisation Pelvic Organ Prolapse

Has any one had the above, I had a vaginal birth in 2000, a C-Section in 2010 and another C-Section with Sterilisation in 2014.

I have pelvic organ prolapse and wondering if anyone has experienced this. I have an appointment tomorrow and it looks like its my uterus and bladder pushing out, things have been low down with urine incontinence since 2014.

I am 35 and quite shocked at this, I have googled and cant find allot,

Thank you

That sounds really difficult to deal with OP. I don’t have any advice myself but hopefully someone will. Good luck with your appointment.

If you're in the Uk, they will assess your prolapse and probably grade it. If it's mild - moderate you'll (hopefully!) be offered the chance to work with a specialist women's health physio, who will work on your pelvic floor with you.

If it's more severe you may be offered a pessary, which is a thing you put inside your vagina to sort of hold everything up.

More severe can be treated with surgery, but the surgery has drawbacks in and of itself and can fail.

You'll have a better idea after assessment. Good luck x
