If I earned £500 a week after tax what would my monthly or annual wage before tax be?

Thanks

You would be paying minimal tax if any.

LIZS · 30/08/2018 18:12

Sorry misread as £500 pm .

whiskeysourpuss · 30/08/2018 18:13

Annual salary would be approx £35,000

There are online calculators for this. Google it! I’d say about 30k before tax to get about 24 after.

LIZS · 30/08/2018 18:14

Around 28k gross I think

LIZS · 30/08/2018 18:15

Whiskey have you allowed for the tax free allowance?

Anyonewhoknows · 30/08/2018 18:18

I have been googling and tied myself up in knots with it! i don't understand it

If it helps cms have calculated maintenance based on 2/3 nights a month at £215 a month for 1 child.

Ex has asked me to find out some stuff for him.

try web tools like listentotaxman.com there are others too. you input gross and they give you net. About 30,500 gross gives you £2k a month net.

@LIZS I used the calculator at work & put in a variety of figures... £35,000 per annum gave a take home of £509 per week after tax, NI & the statutory pension contribution - obviously it's only a guide as I don't have all the information.

Using backwards calculations given the CMS info then they're using a take home salary of approx £2,000 a month (this assumes the shared care stated & no other relevant children).
