Lovely Neighbours

We’ve lived in our current house for about 18 mths - just us no DCs.
One side are quiet - the occasional nod & hello.
The other side is a lady who lives on her own.
When we are out in the back we shout over the fence ‘hello neighbour ! How are you ?’
I invited myself round a few weeks ago during the hot weather & took a bottle of wine. A couple of hours but I know she doesn’t see many people .

Last night she knocked on our door with a picture she’d made for us. She’d written
‘ Dear xxxx & xxxx , thank you for being such lovely neighbours ‘

Made my week.

Wonderful! And so nice to hear of a lovely good natured event.

I have the loveliest sweetest neighbours. Two houses are occupied my widows, the other is a retired couple. They are so lovely, friendly, we all help each other out and look out for each other.
It’s a gift, I tell you that. Be lost without them.

That's lovely OP. ThanksI've got a lovely neighbour next door (other side not so much...) she brings my wheely bin in every week and always stops to chat to me and DCSmile

You’re so lucky! That’s very sweet.

My neighbours smoke stinky weed and regularly park over my drive! Confused

maerd · 30/08/2018 21:00

I love that! We love our neighbour too, we’ve lived here nearly three years and never had to put the bin out ourselves once in that time! And whenever our dog food gets delivered, the neighbour practically wrestles it off me to carry it up to the house because it’s too heavy for me really.

Mine are wonderful! One babysit at 2am whilst I was rushed to hospital. One brought all our bins/recycling up to the house because she knew I'd be out all day and then came to ask how DH was (OP today). Other one let us park on his drive to make his house look occupied until we made space on our front (8 years!) Another fixed our door which was broken with DD3 on the wrong side. Others in my village but not strictly neighbours are the most wonderful people I know. I am super blessed.

My old neighbours were German and use to BBQ lovely German sausage in the garden and pass over the fence!Grin
My new neighbours are Brazilian he looks like Lenny Kraviz, they are lovely I was worried it would be weird because they used to rent our house from a landlord and we then brought it and they moved next door!
