Tech help please! Locked out of iphone 5`

What a numpty I am. Changed my passcode last night (DD should work for MI5) and I've bloody forgotten it. Am now locked out. I've connected it to iTunes on my PC and I'm not getting the little phone icon in the top left side of the screen to start a sync. I have no idea what to do now

I have no help unfortunately but if it makes you feel any better my toddler typing in numbers into my phone put the passcode in wrong 10 times and wiped the bloomin thing! That’s a little security feature DH activated for me and neglected to tell me! Good luck OP I hope help comes along soon.
