Just had a diagnosis of VCD.
I have a referral to see a physio next week who specializes in this department.
What I was hoping was for other peopl'es experiences of this condiiton.
As it stands, I have been wandering the earth diagnosed as asthmatic since age 4 or 5 which settled down for a while then kicked off again during my first pregnancy.
In the last 5 years, the episodes have become more frequent and severe with lots of trips to A&E. Courses of steriods nearly every 3 weeks or so.
And now they tell me its VCD and all the symptoms make total sense etc.
What I want to know is, how effective the phsyio is, how long does it take to see an impact on the symptoms and has life been a breeze ever since.
Currently, this is making my life a fucking misery. I am permanently short of breath, inhalers make no difference, I sound like one of those dogs with flat faces. At night, it sounds like I am purring such is the rattle in my throat.
I have got my heart set on a symptom free life ....
