PLEASE HELP! I've taken a tablet and it's stuck in my throat!

I can breathe fine so it's not a medical emergency but I've taken a pill and it's sort of lodged in my throat. Water doesn't seem to be helping shift it downwards and it feels quite uncomfortable. Any advice?

Eat some bread?

Maybe drink something hot? It may help it dissolve a bit?

Fizzy drink will shift it

Or food to shove it down

Gargle with sparkling water and it may come up (the bubbles dislodge it and stop it sticking)

Spoonful of honey/ syrup might shift it too.

Definitely bread or something to force it down.

It's gone down 😅 I'm not sure what worked as I tried pretty much everything suggested. Maybe it was a combination 😆 thanks all.

Yay! I was going to say eat some bread - that works every time for me, and is also good if you ever get a fishbone stuck in your throat.
