I would like to switch between cold packed lunches and warm so the my dc have alternatives in their lunches. They could have school lunches but they don't like them and they like home cooked food. I was wondering what lunch boxes or anytips for keeping food warm, ones good for soup and pasta.

Are they allowed hot food in? Schools near me don't allow flasks for H&S reasons

Isn't warm food, not hot, a worry for bacteria?

Depends how large a container you want - I have had a Stanley food flask for years. It's brilliant at keeping food properly hot, as long as you pre-warm it with boiling water before filling with soup or whatever. But, it's quite large, maybe too big for a child, and it's not cheap.

I’ve got an Aladdin tiffin box which is supposed to keep things cold or hot. I only use it for cold things as I can use the microwave, but it’s v leakproof for soups as long as the top is screwed on properly.
