Help no idea where to MOVE!!!

Ok so this is the situation my husband ( I know there is an abbreviation for that but i'm not cool enough to know it). Has an interview on Friday for a job which wld (I know that one) involve working in the Surrey area and I have no idea where to move. The prices seem ridiculous for rent and my budget it max 800 a month. I have 2 wee ones so a good school is important and I dnt (know that one as well) mind living semi rural etc as I also have a dog. Yes that's right folks massive baggage and wanting the earth. I currently live in Perthshire and for 600 u (u get the drift) I can get a nice 2 bed cottage. I have literally no idea where to start if he gets the job but I can look anywhere within about an hrs radius of say Effingham, interesting name by the way. Soooooo can anyone help???

Perhaps Brockham? its an 18 minute drive from effington. here is some info about houses there from zoopla:

Your not going to believe this he has decided to take another job offer near Nottingham!!!! U cldnt actually make this up. He had no offers from applications for ages and now he has 2 lol. I appreciate ur replies but now im going to have to post post the same question about Nottinghamshire.
