Tell me about your scary journeys

Driving home from visiting relatives at the weekend we were driving in extremely heavy rain by the side of water ,driving by water always goes me the utter fear and especially when it was raining heavy and the road was a nightmare, I keep having the image of the car slipping into the water !!Tell me what your most scariest journey has been .

Getting diverted off the M6 late at night, missing a turning and ending up in an unfamiliar part of Birmingham. We had to stop at a petrol station to look at the road map, and someone (probably perfectly harmless) kept staring at us and I was convinced we were going to be car-jacked. Looking back, we had a tiny, battered 10 year old hatchback at the time so probably wouldn't have looked worth car-jacking, really.
