Why do my kid's friends never want to come to my house?!

Two girls in particular who knock for my DD always want to be at their houses. I've tried being inviting/welcoming. I know it shouldn't bother me but it does.
Do I smell? Have a resting bitch face? Are our toys crap?
What is it?!

I duno but whatever it is send my way. I’m sick to death of “can X come in” no go and play.

I’m sure it’s not you, some children are just more comfortable in their own homes. It’s nice that they call.

could it be they are only allowed in their houses? so only allowed to knock and ask? few kids parents like this around here.

We usually have a ton of kids in ours but one boy never comes in, not even to our garden - he will stand at the gate and talk but not come in. I just think he has been told not too and listens. It doesn't bother me.

We have a little friend like that too! Last month when my DD had called for her, the child's DF (who was looking after her that day) was encouraging her to play at our house. She said to him, "Mummy says I'm not allowed to"! Blush I have no idea why this should be so but my DD always plays there now.

I have the opposite problem!
I’m sure you’re not the issue, it’ll just be parent rules about where they can play or something

Some parents don't allow their dc into other people's houses for various reasons. There's a girl in our street who d's p!aye with and has been in her house several times. She won't even come into our front garden, but stands at the gate shouting for ds. One day I was gardening and told her to come in and go around to the back door to call ds. She said "sorry I can't, my family don't trust you yet". I had been living beside them for 6 years Hmm
