Help! Name this actress...

Please help wise Mumsnetters. I have an image of someone who I think is a British actress. Have a vague recollection of her being in a drama fairly recently. She’s probably in her 40’s. Very short blonde bob with a fringe. Looks a bit like an older Carey Mulligan. Anyone know who I mean? It’s driving me mad!

Thank you both, but neither of those. Her bob is very short, kind of ear length with a fringe. I can picture her face so clearly but can’t think where from!

She's a lot older, but Miranda Richardson was in a drama series not that long ago and had her hair in a blond bob, I think. Maybe not that short a bob though!

Maxine Peak was the first person who came to my mind, apart from I couldn’t remember her name, so I’m glad that someone else has named her otherwise I’d be driven mad too!

I was going to say Michelle Williams too who I think looks almost identical to Carey Mulligan. She American but can do a reasonable British accent.
