Looking for recommendations for my 14 year old DD. She doesn’t really get spots as such but she has lots of bumps under her skin on her cheeks and forehead, some of which are inflamed (comedonal acne?). She uses a Neutrogena face wash and oil free Moisturiser and about a month ago was prescribed Differin 0.1% cream (after previously using Duac which made her skin dry and sore).
I can’t tell at the moment if her skin is still just purging and getting used to the new cream or if it’s making things worse. Does she need to persevere a bit longer or is there anything else she could try?
The Dr thinks it’s hormonal and I’m sure she’s right but I’m not sure either me or DD want to try the pill at this stage. Any advice?
