Have you ever been in a fight?

So many videos seem to emerge in the news of people fighting - another one today of two women fighting in some road rage incident (with a child watching Angry). It's so alien to me that if someone pisses me off, that I would whack them one, I really don't get it.

Although I've never been in a 'fight' I do remember trying to drag a girl off my sister when she was hitting her, she'd been bullying her for months and although I was 4 years younger and much smaller I tried (and failed) to get her off her so fighting's not exactly a new phenomenon. Just they all seem to be captured on camera these days.

Only when I was being bullied at school. I can't say it was 'involved' though I was just the victim.

I saw quite a few in my teens when I was out on a Saturday night.

If I was to see fisticuffs in the supermarket or street etc now I would be quite shocked I think.

That's the thing though, I suppose it's always been common to see fights on nights out when people have had too much to drink, but they seem to becoming more 'normal' and spilling into other places, like the supermarket and even parents in school playgrounds.

When I was about 18 I went out for a drink with a guy in a local pub, after 45 minutes or so I went to the loos, when I came out the cubicle there was a girl standing in the way so I couldn't get out, as I tried to get passed her she started having a go at me for being with her boyfriend, I said have a word with him not me, she went to hit me but I grabbed her wrist, she continued to try and kick and hit me until I lost my temper and hit her back, can't really remember what happened until the bouncers came in and separated us, I grabbed my bag and walked out. Told the bloke to sort his girlfriend out and left. When I went back a couple of days later I found I was barred, she with her boyfriend's backing had made up some story about me attacking her and because she had 2 black eyes they chose to believe her over me.

I remember a girl trying to square up with me in a nightclub for a similar reason happiness but luckily he wasn't such a shit and we just went elsewhere. I absolutely last reason I can imagine having a fight with someone is over a man.

Some guy grabbed my arse in a club once and my knee jerk reaction was to elbow him in the face. I had no idea I had it in me and I've never done anything like that since Blush

No. But I learn martial arts and whilst I hate the idea of hitting or hurting someone if it was to protect myself or my kids then I'd unleash hell.
Obviously not just because someone is pushing me around (there are softer techniques for dealing with threatening but non violent behaviour) but if for example a guy was trying to pin me down or a woman had a weaponetc

Yes. Loads. I grew up on a rough estate and my mother activity encouraged it. In fact if I came home crying some one had hit me - my mother would force me out side and demand I had a fight with this child - even if they were a lot bigger than me BlushSad

No fighting but I've throw a pint of snakebite at someone -classy! 😂
