There are tickets? Shock

Why?

TheFaerieQueene · 29/08/2018 10:02

Not if you paid me.

LARLARLAND · 29/08/2018 10:03

Why would anybody do this?

It'd for picnicking in the castle, thus getting a much better view.

If you're not the sort to spectate at Royal events, then I can see why it wouldn't appeal. But I can see why it would appeal to those who line the railings.

It's a new idea - because when the Wessexes married at St George's there wasn't any of this malarkey, despite him being a DC (not DGC) of the monarch. But it was televised and it did draw crowds.

Sparklingbrook · 29/08/2018 10:04

Do you have to pay? I don't understand.

Deathraystare · 29/08/2018 10:05

Aren't we paying for it anyway???

Sparklingbrook · 29/08/2018 10:06

No idea. When is it?

MalloryLaurel · 29/08/2018 10:11

I think she thinks she's more popular than she is.

Rebecca36 · 29/08/2018 10:21

You don't have to pay, they're dished out first come first served if there are any. I haven't heard of any.

No, 'we' are not paying for the wedding, at least I'm not and I would surely know! Honestly, the lack of grace. Can't people just wish them well?

justmetwice · 29/08/2018 10:22

Tickets are free. It's just a fun thing to do.

If you're a royalist or like a day out then it's a great idea. If you're not and it doesn't appeal (like me) then you don't. It's just a bit of fun, she's the Queen's granddaughter and a royal princess. Enjoy it or not.

halcyondays · 29/08/2018 10:42

I think you're supposed to hear by 10 September if you have got a ticket.

raisedbyguineapigs · 29/08/2018 10:51

I think she wants what Harry had and because her dad is the Queens favourite, no one has told her to calm down. She's a minor Royal. She should have a private family wedding. I feel slightly bad for her. She's clearly being indulged by her parents with this nonsense.

Notagainmun · 29/08/2018 10:51

Her wedding is not going to draw the big interest Harry's did but she is a royal princess by birth so there will be some who would appreciate getting the tickets.

Rockbird · 29/08/2018 10:59

I think there'll be enough fans to use the tickets and she'll have a nice day.

MmeGuillotine · 29/08/2018 11:21

I've applied as I'm a royal historian and spend a lot of time being paid to write about royal weddings so it's probably about time I actually went to look at one as I never usually bother! I'm currently working on some articles for an upcoming magazine about royal weddings in fact! :)

I doubt we'll get tickets though as loads of people seem to have applied!

Sparklingbrook · 29/08/2018 11:23

It's a bit 'rent a crowd' isn't it? Is it to ensure there's enough people to look interested?

OpenThatTrapDoor · 29/08/2018 12:16

I’ve applied, but not heard anything, not sure when you’re meant to though.

NotPennysBoat · 12/09/2018 11:30

Has anyone heard if they've got an invite??

kmc1111 · 12/09/2018 11:43

The tickets are free.

They’re going to have security, but not the level of security William or Harry had. So tickets helps keep things organised and in check.

I don’t get why anyone would bother either, but some people will definitely want to. A boring old royal like Edward or Anne cutting a ribbon can still draw a good crowd, so a princess’s wedding will definitely get the interest they’re anticipating.

bobbinsand · 12/09/2018 13:43

Did anyone get a ticket?? I applied and the notification date was 10 September, Monday.

They didn't invite me Angry bastards

halcyondays · 12/09/2018 13:45

I applied and didn't get one either. So they must have got more than enough people applying.

justmetwice · 12/09/2018 13:52

Me neither... Did anyone get tickets?

OP posts:
PourMeAGlassOfMilk · 25/09/2018 13:39

I didn't get any either. According to Hello magazine there were over 100,000 applications and I assume most of those will have been for more than 1 ticket. I'm a bit sad!

po51yos · 03/10/2018 23:23

I got tickets :-)
