Gift Advice?

I’m currently pregnant with my second child. Living in a different country and family are all back home. A friend I have made here has offered to look after my DS whilst I’m in labour. My DS adores her and her children and I am so thankful to her for what she will be doing. It is a huge weight off my mind knowing that my DS will be somewhere familiar and safe whilst I’m in the hospital.

My DS is very well behaved and I know that this isn’t a huge deal for my friend. But I want to give her something to say thank you because it really means so much to me. Flowers just don’t seem enough. Does anyone have some ideas? What are some thoughtful thank you gifts you have given/received?

I’d get her a voucher for something I knew she loved, hobby related, meal out, favourite shop, theatre etc. and a card filled with heartfelt appreciation.

Congrats on baby number two

Have you been on Not on the High Street? They do some beautiful and unique gifts. It's always the first place I look when I'm buying a present for someone. Only trouble is you can spend hours on there because there is so much choice. They do lots of engraved/personalised stuff. Hope this helps

Visit to a spa or something? And you look after her kids if she has them (but not an instant gift!)

Thank you! A voucher for something is a good idea, because then she can treat herself to something special. Just had a very quick look at NOTHS, looks like there are some sweet thank you type gifts, I’ll definitely be falling down a rabbit hole there at some point!
