Really hurts my ears.

Think I'm just sensitive. And misophonic.

Sad

oh me too. It took me awhile to believe it didn't hurt other people too. Also sometimes when I try on clothes I can't believe that people can put up with the itch. I can barely keep them on for a minute. We must be delicate flowers 😁

Trialsmum · 28/08/2018 22:59

Close the windows.

Pascha · 28/08/2018 23:01

Ds2 hates it. He wears eat defenders sometimes.

BrutusMcDogface · 28/08/2018 23:01

Surely this only happens if the windows are open? In which case.....close them?

BitOutOfPractice · 28/08/2018 23:03

What do you mean “buffeting”?

Sparklingbrook · 28/08/2018 23:04

Is that eating sausage rolls, quiche and crisps in the car?

thisonehasalittlecar · 28/08/2018 23:04

open 2 windows, it's worst when you have only one open

Saidthesharktotheflyingfish · 28/08/2018 23:05

If you mean what I think you mean, opening the passenger window a tiny bit solves it and stops that 'thrumming' noise.

FuckyDuzz · 28/08/2018 23:05

What is buffeting?

When I read the title I was imagining people whipping out fold up tables full of sausage rolls and Black Forest Gateuxs on the hard shoulder 🤷🏻‍♀️

OuchLegoHurts · 28/08/2018 23:05

Why would you keep the windows open? Sorry nobody does that when going fast?

FlibbertyGiblets · 28/08/2018 23:05

Kinda disappointed this isn't about posho car snacks. Sadface.

OuchLegoHurts · 28/08/2018 23:05

*surely

premiertav · 28/08/2018 23:06

I have never heard of buffetting

ChaosTrulyReigns · 28/08/2018 23:08

Honestly you see it loads.

70mph, windows ajar, completely oblivious to the pain. Shock

Grin

I can't drive with my windows open as the noise drives me round the bend. Fortunately my car has aircon.

The weather has cooled down significantly so I don't know why you even want the windows open just now.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 28/08/2018 23:09

Can widows be actually ajar?

Hmm...

I don't! I'm just an observer. Can't see how others can bear the thrum. But they appear to.

InsensibleFool is a username waiting to happen.

ShatnersBassoon · 28/08/2018 23:15

They probably have another window open a crack to let the air pass through instead of vibrating in and out.
Air con has solved this problem anyway. It must just be people with older cars who have learned to ignore the weird air pressure thing.

Revakah · 28/08/2018 23:16

Once you go above about 40mph it's more fuel efficient to use the air con anyway- which is lucky because I hate the noise too!

LoniceraJaponica · 28/08/2018 23:17

Smokers often have their windows open. Ironic really as they must love the smoke anyway as they smoke.

pastabest · 28/08/2018 23:19

It's great white noise for crying infants.

thoroughly tested I can assure you.

Ohyesiam · 28/08/2018 23:20

I like open windows, but the thrumming is unbearable. But I alwAys manage to find a combination ofpartlyopen windows that works. Sunroofs rule for this though
