Anyone been to Lapland with Canterbury Travels?

I have booked for me and the kids to go to Lapland in December for 3 nights with Canterbury Travels.

All looks lovely but after any practical tips please. Are soft drinks included in the all inclusive bit or do you buy them? Any tips on how much cash to take, what do you need it for? What warm Winter clothing is best to take yourself? I know they have snowsuits on loan.

Any tips or help is much appreciated. I have a disabled ds and I know I'll be fretting about him so any prep I can do will help my stress levels. Thank you

Oh I have! We went 2 years ago.

From what I remember soft drinks are included, alcoholic ones not so much! Food is plentiful so you'll deffo not go hungry.

There's usually a gift shop in the main hotel and lots of souvenirs. Cuddly toys of the elves, books etc. All quite pricey. But lovely for the children.

Are you visiting the Arctic circle? If so its quite a big shopping centre with gifts and souvenirs. Again quite pricey so depending on what you want to buy will depend on what you'll need to take IYSWIM!!

Its freezing. All gear (clothes wise) is dished out on arrival. But you'll need thermals, extra thick socks, gloves (for under ski gloves) Hats, scarves, ear muffs that sort of thing. We took those hand warmers, you know where you snap them somehow and they heat up.

You'll love every minute. Have a fab time.

We aren't doing Artic Circle but I can see my kids wanting teddies and books.

I won't be drinking so glad to hear soft drinks are included.
