I have a pine chest of drawers I'm "upcycling" (hate that word!) It is pine and I want to stain the sides/top, I've used paint and varnish stripper which has effectively stripped the sides back to bare wood but has barely even touched the top. I've tried sanding and that doesn't seem to be doing anything, a heat gun and scraper gets small amounts off at a time but will take me ages. Any ideas of how to strip it back will be much appreciated.
