How to handle tinder man??

Advice please as to how handle this!

I joined tinder the other day, and 'swiped right' on a few folk. I then went out for a few hours and had no internet signal. When I returned home, I'd had a match with one guy who'd sent a message. I'd obviously not replied so he'd found me on Facebook (small area but my account isn't linked and don't have much public info on FB) and sent me a Facebook message request asking why I'd not replied... I found this odd so denied the request, blocked him from messenger and unmatched on tinder. Then yesterday I get a friend request on Facebook from him! Getting creeper out now, I block him (hadn't realised you have to block messenger and Facebook separately). Then today I've got a follow request on Instagram from him!! I'm seriously weirded out now, but do I send him a message asking him not to contact me again or is that opening the lines of communication? Or am I just being a massive bitch here somehow? I didn't realise swiping right gave an invite to invite comms through all social media platforms...

Think I'll give tinder a miss from now on 😓

So I've cancelled the follow request and got another request off him 2 minutes later, arghh hate this!!

He's crossing the line somewhat. I wouldn't advise engaging with him at all. Just block him in all ways possible.

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 28/08/2018 12:08

Definitely creepy. Ignore, ignore, ignore.

He’s being really creepy and weird, this is not normal behaviour. Block, block and block again.

SummerStrong · 28/08/2018 12:10

Block him on Instagram as well so he can't send any more follow requests.

His behaviour is not OK.

sexnotgender · 28/08/2018 12:12

Why are some men so fucking creepy!

Ignore and hope the weirdo disappears.

specialsubject · 28/08/2018 12:20

set your accounts so you cant be searched and make sure any info on there is private.

ProbablyDramatic · 28/08/2018 12:25

Thank you all for the advice! He's blocked on everything now (I hope) and accounts are fully locked down. I just hate behaviour like this, makes me feel right on edge! I noticed we had mutual friends in common before I blocked the other day, I'm now paranoid he noted them as another route to contact me. So it's definitely ok to not have to send a message paying down that I'm not interested? Though I'd have thought multiple blockings should have sent this message loud and clear 😂

Ugh tinder. A guy I matched with called me a "fucking piece of shit" (via text message) after I had blocked him on WhatsApp for being creepy. Has put me right off OLD.

AllStar14 · 28/08/2018 12:36

Oh, and yes just keep blocking!

ProbablyDramatic · 28/08/2018 13:20

All-star, that's awful!! Shock I joined after friends convinced me too following their success stories.. trust me to find the local creep Grin

I met my very lovely husband OLD. You just need to wade through the lunatics to find the gemsGin helps.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 28/08/2018 13:29

Block him but take a screenshot of his details incase he finds out your address and you have a stalker on your hands
He sounds obsessive and could be potentially dangerous
I met my BF on Tinder so there are nice guys out there... but certainly not this one

BigbreastsBiggerbeard · 28/08/2018 14:01

I know mumsnet are fond of 'red flags' but seriously, this is one! If he's virtually stalking you at THIS stage....definitely don't contact him!

Kaykay06 · 28/08/2018 14:36

Jeez, they normally wait till after you’ve spoken to them for that, I met my ex on old (tinder) seeemd nice enough but turned into a narcissistic emotional abuser and I ended things after a few months.
He then persistently messaged on WhatsApp - blocked, fb blocked and messenger also my phone number I blocked but hed still leave voicemails but was also emailing numerous times a day. This went on for months as I couldn’t figure out how to block on email, he then started saying he was coming to my home (thankfully I’d moved) but the police had to go to speak to him to ask him to stop contacting me.

Not heard from him since but know he’s still on tinder etc from a friend, has put me off dating for a long time. I’d put a nickname on tinder as well I was just ‘K’ or similar all fb etc locked down. Don’t let him put you off bot sure why some people can’t take no for an answer
