Quick Q about the DV 48hr rule

Do I need to stick to the 48hr DV exclusion for a brief visit to the optician for DS to select some glasses frames? He has an appointment this morning but both my children still have slightly dodgy tummies and I was still feeling pretty rough with it until this morning. I cancelled appointments last week and it’s turning into a bit of PITA to keep having to rearrange as it’s taking us all so bloody long to get back to normal ☹️

Of course you do!

And picking frames is rarely a brief visit by the time they have checked fit etc (and I wouldn’t want to be the dispenser having to get up close to do that!)

Yeah I've cancelled today's appointment - I was always going to do that, just wasn't sure how long to wait to make another one (tomorrow or the day after). I know the 48 hour rule applies in school/nursery just wondering if it was less strict outside childcare settings. They both seem fine today so hopefully that's the end of it.

I think somewhere like an opticians where there are likely to be a lot of elderly people around, it is just as important. Glad you cancelled.

It's just as important. I get hospitalised when I get it and there's no way of knowing I'm at risk by looking at me.
