Kids waterproof bag

So, not very exciting but I can’t find a bag that is described as waterproof that doesn’t cost over £50. My son needs a waterproof bag for school with mesh bottle holder and preferably red. Does anyone know where I can find a truly waterproof bag as we walk to school. He’s 7 so doesn’t need to be massive. Also if anyone knows of a decent adult sized bag for myself that’d be great.

Decathlon? Most of their bags come with a cover too!

Completely waterproof is tricky to find, even hiking backpacks are not waterproof. Could you use a rain cover like these on days where it's really rainy, or put the important stuff in a waterproof drybag inside instead?

They are expensive, but DH is still using one he got for school in 1986.
