peachypetite · 27/08/2018 15:57

Oh dear.

Camomila · 27/08/2018 15:57

I used to love kitkats...then we learnt about the nestle baby milk scandel in RE in year 9 and no more kitkats for me.

NewAndImprovedMe41 · 27/08/2018 15:58

I don’t buy nestle. But I don’t turn down a rolo if I’m offered one!

Idontbelieveinthemoon · 27/08/2018 16:00

DS1 has become a bit of a warrior of late so we boycott Nestle to keep him happy.

I am partial to a Kitkat though, but only 4 fingers. 2 fingers is pointless.

PickleSarnie · 27/08/2018 16:02

I find all the babies nestle have been responsible for killing over the years adds a bit of a bitter taste to the chocolate.

AnalUnicorn · 27/08/2018 16:09

Yes, also the palm oil tastes rank.

TheSquatLobster · 27/08/2018 16:17

Why specifically Nestle?
I've boycotted them since the 1990s. Appalling baby milk practices.

BulletWithABun · 27/08/2018 16:18

You think wrong.

I like Nestle Crunch.

schooltripwoes · 27/08/2018 16:20

I don't buy Nestlé because of the baby milk scandal. I don't buy any other modern big brand chocolate (Mars, Cadbury etc) because of their use of palm oil. Mainly for ethical reasons (poor Orangutans Sad) but also because it tastes truly awful Envy.

Most choccie bars are made by either Nestle or Mondelez. Both have questionable ethics and both have certainly ruined the flavour of their products in recent years.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/08/2018 16:25

I try to avoid palm oil so that means most of their products are out for me.

Babybearsporij · 27/08/2018 16:25

Munchies

PolkerrisBeach · 27/08/2018 16:26

None of it - it's all cheap shite filled with palm oil. And we boycott them.

The only chocolate worth eating is bars which is palm oil free. Lindt or Aldi Moser Roth.

EmmaGrundyForPM · 27/08/2018 16:27

I boycott Nestle. I haven't had a KitKat since I was 18 and I'm 52 now. I occasionally fantasize about them but haven't given in yet.

Cantstopworryingaboutit · 27/08/2018 16:28

Never heard of the nestle scandal!

newtlover · 27/08/2018 16:30

this why we boycott nestle

fairgame84 · 27/08/2018 16:30

KitKat chunky is the best.

A lot of my extended family used to work st the Nestle factory in York. You could smell the chocolate from my Grandma's house which was a few streets away and my Auntie used to bring back big bags of Rolo's from the factory shop.

BaronessBomburst · 27/08/2018 16:33

I boycott Nestle.
Someone linked to this website last week: here
Set up by a Cadbury's grandson who wants to make tasty and ethical chocolate. I'm eyeing up the raspberry truffels.

BlueEyedBengal · 27/08/2018 16:37

Love munchiesGrinLove, love, love any chocolate altogether it's my only vice.🍫

BlueEyedBengal · 27/08/2018 16:46

I do love British milk chocolate also. I have never heard about the baby milk thing though so don't know. I have also got a taste for american peanut butter choc bars

VanillaMapleSyrup · 27/08/2018 16:52

They've messed around with the KitKat recipe and they are now MEH.

Being a York girl and watching the hostile takeover of Rowntrees, Nestle can jog on.

tutu112 · 27/08/2018 16:58

We used to love Nestle Crunch. And then I read about the baby milk scandal. The crunch bar doesn't seem to hold the same appeal now. SadWe Don't buy any Nestle products in our household now.
