Breastfeeding and what the calories used equates to

I’ve heard many times that bf used 5-600 calories a day
I’m just looking for examples of what else would burn that much.
I’m exhausted and feel that it’s not being recognised that I’m actually keeping another human alive. I’m all for normalising stuff but occasionally it’s nice to be taken notice of, taken care of and something like this recognised. I’m bloody knackered and I don’t think family/dh realise exactly how draining (literally) bf is
Would like a few examples to throw at them when they minimise my tiredness

Running a 10k race every day.
Swimming for an hour every day.

Current guidelines say it burns about 350kcal a day. So that would be like 4 digestive biscuits - not a lot. You might get a ham sandwich out of the 350kcal, or maybe a cream cake, but it’s not as much as I think you were hoping to find.

Sorry I meant what activity it equates to (should have said in OP but I got up and was jokingly called selfish for wanting to stay in bed so posted quickly)
Ok 350 calories then. I guess it is good to know the food equivalent too I feel like making a chart 🤣 this is what the activity is for x amount of calories and this is the food equivalent ! I feel like I’m being precious but I’m so tired.

I get you - 3 months in myself and feel like anything ‘good’ in me has been drained out my boobs! But the best cure for it is sleep, water, and three meals a day. Boring but true. And I hope it gets better - I have to believe it does!

350 is roughly what an average sized person would burn running 5.5km
