Is vegetarian a special dietary requirement?

You know on all the consent forms from school and clubs and it asks of you have any special dietary requirements, should you write if your kid is vegetarian? I always assume this box is for allergies or religious requirements.
(The form I am filling in is for an after school swimming club so I'm not entirely sure why this question is relevant anyway but that's another thread altogether....)

I think that anything that might involve a change to catering is a dietary requirements.
They’re not asking out of interest.

But as you say, given that it’s swimming club it’s hard to see why they are asking at all.

Yes. If they have the information they can do the necessary with it. If they don't have the information they may unwittingly feed your veggie child meat.
