Holiday 2019 fancy taking teenagers to Germany. Black Forest tips?

We love the outdoors swimming kayaking paddle boarding
Both boys studying German for gcse. I used to speak it fluently (20 years ago)
Dh never been.
Would prefer hotel/holiday lodge rather than self catering.
Any ideas very welcome.

The lakes in carinthia in Austria are great for this. You’ll have the summer mountains too.

Is it close enough for the boys to practise?

It is similar but all regions differ in terms of accent just as they do Germany (and UK).

Not Black Forest, but look up Altmühtal for canoeing, we had a fab holiday there.
