Ds is going into year 3 and therefore fsm have stopped. Just wondering what's the average.

Distracted where are you? And what do the kids get for £18?

Watto1 · 26/08/2018 15:44

£2.10

Dadsbigsausages · 26/08/2018 15:46

£2.05, but it's very poor quality so ds is going back with packed lunches even though he has another year free. He was choosing half a jacket potato and cucumber and a yoghurt everyday so I'm glad I wasn't paying for it.

£2.30 a day in Leeds.

ChanandlerBongsNeighbour · 26/08/2018 15:51

£2.10 per day. I teach there and if I sit in the dining hall to eat with the children (which I have always done and enjoy) I get my own lunch the same as the children for £1 (which is a bonus!).

yorkshireyummymummy · 26/08/2018 15:51

Was £ 2.10 last year- it’s going up to £2.70!!! Over 30% rise. I wouldn’t mind but the meals are small and bland bland bland. They are outsourced and obviously making a big profit.

Luckily DD is going up to secondary - £2.35 per day and includes a piece of fruit and a drink ( plus your two courses or a jacket, topping and salad, or toasted/sandwich/ with homemade cake and fruit). Not outsourced, I spoke to the catering manager who told me she just needs to break even. Much much better.

lunatunes · 26/08/2018 15:52

£2.20 a day -Staffordshire

Redtartanshoes · 26/08/2018 15:53

£1.60 Scotland

wendz86 · 26/08/2018 16:08

2.50 a day . My dd going into year 3 also , I’m planning on doing packed lunches most days .

Babybearsporij · 26/08/2018 16:44

I think it's about £2.20 a day here. East Midlands.

Trialsmum · 26/08/2018 16:51

£2.10. They are nice but tiny potions for ds who needs a lot of food! He’s not a fan of stodgy puddings either which they seem to rely on to fill them up.

LusaCole · 26/08/2018 16:54

Just went up from £2.40 to £2.50.

MollyMallyMindy · 26/08/2018 17:04

£2.10, London. They get free fruit and veg snacks too. Decent food but a huge bewildering selection for the little ones.

n0ne · 26/08/2018 20:19

Irrelevant I know, sorry OP, but I just wanted to express my jealousy! No school dinners in the country I now live in, no canteen. Kids get half an hour for lunch, packed lunch eaten at their desk. This must consist of sandwich(es), fruit and maybe some veg sticks or piece of cheese or something. Water only. Same story primary and secondary. You can go home for lunch but that only works if you live on top of the school, obviously (and have a SAHP). I think you even have to pay some contribution for the lunch monitor if your kids do eat at school. I hate it.

user1489094655 · 26/08/2018 20:31

£2.10

Distracted123 · 26/08/2018 21:23

@MyDcAreMarvel Switzerland and they get fish fingers and pasta by all accounts. All kids here go home for lunch, or you pay - if you can get a place at the canteen. Not all schools have a canteen..... wondering if @n0ne is here too?!

Racheyg · 26/08/2018 21:29

My ds1 is only in ur 1 so they are free but have just found out that there is no packed lunch options. They have to have school meals. Confused

LemonBreeland · 26/08/2018 21:31

£2.10 here

IncyWincyGrownUp · 26/08/2018 21:32

50p here for primary.

elliejjtiny · 26/08/2018 21:36

£2.30 per day in primary. In secondary I pay £15 a week for ds1

Sedona123 · 26/08/2018 21:37

£6 per day. It's a private school, but seems to use the same catering company as you are all paying £2 ish for as the menu is identical to the state school's. I spend less on lunch each day for myself!! 😤

Kewqueue · 26/08/2018 21:38

5 euros per meal + 4 euros for lunch supervision - so 9 euros per child - and I have two! SadSad

Kewqueue · 26/08/2018 21:38

Oh and we have to have school meals too - or collect the child, which I cannot do. Complete rip off!

Beingginger · 26/08/2018 21:39

£2.30 a day, cooked on site but they’re shit and tasteless as they don’t season anything or use sugar so the DC have packed lunches.

Macarena1990 · 26/08/2018 21:42

£2.85 (London). Pack lunches this year as I can't afford it x 3!
