How cold is it in Scotland at the moment?

We’re setting off in an hour for a family stay in the Highlands. I’ve packed fleeces and waterproofs but will we need coats? We’re in the Midlands and it has been so warm here that we’re still in shorts and sundresses.

Thank you - it has cooled here but is still warm. I appreciate the responses, I think I am just panicking before a long drive!

I take a coat daily to work as one minute it's sunny, next minute raining!

You'd need a brolly and jacket today but yesterday it was lovely and warm, even got my towels dried outside.

12 degrees in Edinburgh

Raining/cold here. I'm back in boots, jumpers and gilets, our heating is back on. We're going out for a long walk soon and I'll be wearing a proper coat rather than lightweight waterproof. I don't want to go out. It's yuck!
