Thinking of buying a coffee shop, can anyone advise?

A friend and I are considering opening a coffee shop. We live in an affluent town and there is certainly a market for what we are hoping to offer. We've done lots of research and we are in the process of writing our business plan as we need to apply for a loan or find an investor. We will be offering the usual fare (tea, coffee, home made cakes, sandwiches etc). Our business plan includes some other elements which will make our business more than just a coffee shop, and quite unique.

I was wondering if someone kind - who already runs a similar enterprise - would mind answering some questions for me. We are really struggling to find answers to a few things and need a little bit of hopefully simple guidance with regards to things like taxes, accounting etc.

It would, obviously be much much appreciated.

Get a good accountant before you start! It seems like a waste of money if you're starting small but the advice and support they will provide is genuinely invaluable. Even a small business can end up in a financial mess without the right guidance.
If you need a helping hand with how to pick the right one drop me a DM and I'd be happy to give you some pointers.
