Moving away and getting another job

I'm wanting to move away from where I live and the town I live in or even the county to be fair as I want a start a new life away from all the reminders I have where I live now.

Please could I have people's advise who has moved away and started a new life. Did they get a job before moving or move before getting a job?
I just don't know what to put on my CV and Cover Letter to attract employers with an address that isn't a local one?

I have to give a months notice at work like any other person and I'm also in rented which I can give a months notice so I don't have to worry about selling a house or anything. But I don't know what the best thing is to do?

Any advise would be appreciated

What do you do?

There is no need to put your address on the cv. In fact I wouldn't. People can discriminate depending where your from. So apply and leave it off. This said I moved abroad with no job. I picked up a good waitressing job within two weeks and got an office job in my field within two months.

What industry would you like to work in? What experience do you have? I think sometimes it can be useful to look for a ‘live in position’ with a holiday company, hotel or similar in this situation. Or you could reflect in your cv that you are willing to relocate and can complete initial interviews by Skype. You could look at websites for big national employers (the supermarkets, diy stores, garden centres, finance companies, banks). Enterprise car rental was one I heard of recently if you are happy to move around to further your career with them.
