Maggots are falling out from underneath my house

We have bins and rubbish further down the garden with no maggot there. I’ve watched and they seem to be falling out from the bottom of my PVC door, some are trying to climb up the pvc and come in under my back door. There are literally hundreds of them, I’ve been throwing bleach and hot water out and they’re still coming thick and fast. I’ve never heard of them being anywhere but bins, how will I get rid of the vile fuckers?

I had maggots in my wall once. Bees had got in and made honeycomb. The flies followed in after that. We removed part of the wall but it was a sheet wall so easy to diy. Can you spray flyspray up there? (The maggots might die in there then though....)

Fly spray and jeyes fluid doesn’t seem to be killing them. We have a bit of concrete then our PVD door so I don’t think we can rip it out. Will removing all rubbish from my garden make them move on?

Maybe a mouse has died in there?

Dead mouse or bird sounds about right to me in which case it won't long. Must be horrible for you though, maggots are vile.

I have no idea but it sounds fascinating!

I used Bob Martin flea and tick spray in my bin a while back. Worked really really well, much better than anything else I have used before.
Where are they actually coming out from? If there is a gap can you spray some in it?

DownAndUnder · 25/08/2018 15:31

There’s a gap under the pvc frame, they’re coming from there, I really hope there isn’t a dead animal in there Envy. Will try some flea spray tonight when they appear!

I can't bring myself to click on them, but if you type "maggot killer" in Google, a lot pops up. Maybe an exterminator if you can't do it. I couldn't because... grossness factor. Good luck.

My friend had this - turned out to be a dead rat Grin
