How can I put food out for the hedgehogs without rats and squirrels getting it.

The title has it all.
The summer has been hard on the little prickly lovlies and I am hoping to get them ready for winter with some food.
But, it is going to be a bit of a struggle for them with the rat and squirrel population here abouts.
Any suggestions people?

Just write a little label: 'Hedgehogs Only Please'. That should work.

That will work for red squirrels, as they are good natured types. But grey squirrels can be right thugs...

Rats and squirrels are working class and don’t enjoy haute cuisine. Serve the hedgehogs a crab ravioli, samphire and lobster bisque.

i live near a big business park with loads of restaurants which brings rays and all sorts but we leave non fish cat food out for the hogs every night and they polish it off nicely and don't usually get any trouble from the rats
