We're moving house next week, just round the corner from where we are now.
We have started talking about this to our 3 year old son, how he's going to have a lovely new room, with a big bed and we've been trying to get him involved in making his room his own, but he throws a tantrum when we mention the house. He's always had trouble dealing with change, but he's been getting a lot better the past few months, but this seems to be a biggie.
Just now I suggested we go over to bring round some boxes and to put the Planes name doorsticker on his bedroom door, but he just started to shout and throw things.
We've been reading a book about moving to him, but he's refused to read this the last week as well.
What can we do, so we don't have the meltdown apocalypse on Wednesday when we will have moved in? Any good tips? We have a new bit for his trainset we're planning on having out when he comes home after nursery on moving day, but not sure it'll be enough to get him all excited about the new house.
