So homesick after a great week

I have just been in Vietnam where we did our first inclusivity training in the area for mainstream teachers who teach special needs. It was my birthday on the final day and I sang for everyone, and I was even brave enough to stand up in front of everybody at the end and speak. Only for 30 seconds, but I have never spoken Vietnamese in front of that big of a crowd. By the end, I was used to everybody and not afraid.

By the way, I had quite a nice mention from the disability organization here that I am part of. I didn’t even know they were watching what I was doing last week. If I can be a good example to people though, that’s good enough for me. I’m just trying not to think about Vietnam too much. I have a busy week next week, things for my organization here and if anyone knows somethings going on in London for the bank holiday weekend, like a festival or something, please tell me. I was only in Vietnam for 10 days, not enough time to see all of my friends including my best friend. We are doing an oral health project probably in October so I will be back for that, but it’s always hard when I first come back here.

Notting Hill carnival is on this weekend - not sure what days however!

I will have a look and see how to get there. I really need to keep busy these few days otherwise I know I’m going to get upset.
