My DD is just 3 months but I would like to start building up a little library for her. I have bought some of my childhood favourite reads already but would love to hear your tips! Which books have you/your children loved? I'm especially interested in any recommendations for toddlers!

The poems of Edward Lear - something really soporific about the longer ones, make small children go to sleep....:)

The Mog books by Judith Kerr - the only ones I could read repeatedly for a year and not go mad, and that we both still loved. (Apart from, obviously, the last book That Shall Not Be Named.)

The Hairy Maclary series by Lynley Dodd, available as a set from [[https://lowplex.com/hairy-maclary-friend-collection-lynley-dodd-10-books-set-children-gift-pack.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5cry7-2F3QIVw7XtCh1Y1gmLEAYYASABEgK6nvD_BwE] Lowplex] for £16.99 and sometimes from [[www.thebookpeople.co.uk] The Book People] - lovely bouncy books, great illustrations and some have repetitive words that toddlers can join in with.

My LO loves these books and has done since she was tiny as there are different textures to touch.
