I think I know why many MIL-DIL relationships are a bit tense (slightly tongue in cheek)

Inspired by a few threads on here, and slightly tongue in cheek …

In most of my friends' relationships, the men are generally easy going, and the women tend to have the final say, especially when it comes to life outside work. "You don't wash like this, you use this kitchen utensil, etc".

In a MIL-DIL relationship, you then often see that over years, someone has got used to the exact way things need to be done, folded, cleaned, etc. And you have two immovable objects, and it causes tension.

This is slightly tongue in cheek, but I think there`s a grain of truth in it.

I think you’re onto something Wink

Although it’s important to note that some women are just batshit crazy too Grin
