Can anybody recommend a self-help book or something of the sort for stopping binge eating?

I’ve a horrible relationship with food. Always have. Since having ds 3 years ago my weight has sky rocketed to the highest ever, because I binge all the time. Can anyone recommend a book or an online programme or something to reprogramme my relationship with food?

Brain over binge by Kathryn Hansen is amazing. Only thing that worked for me

This is currently free on Amazon. I'm a very skeptical type and don't usually go in for this sort of thing, but this has seriously resonated with me and I've not binged for the longest time in months. It is so simple.

It seems to have helped loads of others too. There are always those that it won't help and can't get past certain aspects of it (which are irrelevant, it's the method that's important), but it gives you easy, practical ways to deal with the urge to binge or overeat. For the first time in a long time I can see a way forward.

And it's FREE!

Gillian Riley's approach worked for me. www.eatingless.com

Thank you for the recommendations. I’ve downloaded the books stated above and I’m off to browse that website

The book overcoming binge eating by Christopher Fairburn is the book used by a lot of therapists but I like brain over binge by Kathryn Hansen the best.
