We've both got tons going on at work and I want to have some sort of shared family calendar (that isn't a blackboard in the kitchen that the kids keep wrecking Grin)

What do you use to keep all your plans together?

Family google calendar

DinaCaliente · 23/08/2018 13:24

Google calendar plus Amazon Echo, we ask her to read out whats coming up on our calendar.

DemocracyDiesInDarkness · 23/08/2018 13:36

Trying to instal it but it says I have cookies in my browser disabled, which I don't. 🙄

We use google too, it works really well. You shouldn't need to install anything if you're using a browser, it's just a web page.

You can then either download the calendar app to your phone, or connect the native calendar to use google. Cookies shouldn't interfere with either of those.

Cozi. You can add shopping lists to it too

Stupomax · 24/08/2018 04:46

Much prefer Cozi over Google Calendar.

Figmentofimagination · 24/08/2018 05:18

I like family organizer (American) from seven logics. Can get it on the App Store. We use it for activities and jobs that need doing that can be ticked off. You can colour code things and assign them to people with their photos. It also has a shopping list section.

totallyliterally · 24/08/2018 05:28

Cozi is US App Store only

AnythingConsidered · 24/08/2018 05:31

Cozi here too.
We are in UK

mammmamia · 24/08/2018 06:09

Shared google calendar on iPhones

totallyliterally · 24/08/2018 06:25

Cozi app on App Store is only us - maybe you can get on Android in UK then

SwaylorTift · 24/08/2018 06:35

We've a mixture of iOS and Android phones in this house and I've yet to find an online calendar that works well across the different platforms.

smerlin · 24/08/2018 06:53

We've just started using time tree but that is a calendar only, not a to do list etc

MimiSunshine · 24/08/2018 07:29

What phone do you have? If an iPhone then you can create a shared calendar quite simply:
Open calendar
Click ‘Calendars’ at the bottom
Add calendar (bottom left)
Name it & choose a colour, click done
Click on i for information on the new calendar, then add who you want.
They have to accept the invite but once they do, either of you can add things under that settingvand they’ll appear on each other’s phones.

Obviously not helpful if you don’t have iPhones but I’d be surprised if android didn’t do something similar

Pinkyponkcustard · 24/08/2018 08:19

Famcal is great and works on iPhone and android

RaskolnikovsGarret · 24/08/2018 08:24

Cozi here in the UK on an iPhone

RubiksQueen · 24/08/2018 08:26

We use WeekCal.

SwaylorTift · 24/08/2018 11:34

Those of you with Cozi on a Uk iPhone can I ask how you've done that please?

Starstruck2020 · 24/08/2018 15:48

I’m in Australia, iPhone user, just downloaded from the store I think

Is there a uk website for cozi. Sometimes the websites have a link for you to download from the store?

WiltedDaffs · 24/08/2018 15:54

Cozi here too, UK iPhone.

Though have been using it for a couple years, can’t find it in the UK App Store now.

nottakenpersonally · 24/08/2018 15:55

Google calendar here. Colour coded for each member of the family.

PestymcPestFace · 24/08/2018 15:57

Dodo pad, good old paper diary. Kept in middle of table.

PestymcPestFace · 24/08/2018 15:59

Everyone does have their own (different) electronic diary as well, we just found the sharing never worked well.

Namenumber900 · 24/08/2018 16:02

We use famcal. It works well for us. Can add shopping lists an to do lists too. I also like the memo sections because I can add photos of the kids school letters/hospital appointments so I always have a copy and can bin the paperwork.

fluffyragdoll · 24/08/2018 16:20

We use FamCal!
