Any experience of NHS apprenticeships?

I've got an interview for a finance apprenticeship. I have no experience at all and even though it's only 'desirable', I'm worried that I'm going to be way out of my depth at interview. Does anybody know if the questions are likely to be role specific or just the team work/communication type stuff?

I'm not sure whether to go or not anyway because I've got nothing to wear I'm not sure that I'd take it if I was offered it (I'd be giving up a permanent job for a 12 month contract) and I don't want to waste people's time. Has anybody done a similar apprenticeship? How did you find the prospects afterwards? I imagine it's quite specialised and perhaps not easy to use the experience to move into a different organisation?

Any words of wisdom would be great... I really wasn't expecting to be invited for an interview and it's got me feeling quite anxious, which is perhaps a sign that it's not really what I want...

And if I do go and make a fool of myself, will I be forever blacklisted as a muppet and never invited to an NHS interview ever again?
