I understand my DD is anxious about her results tomorrow but anyone would think the world has to stop for her. She is sooooo grumpy and rude tonight, I can't say or do anything right Anyone else in the same boat? Confused

Yes unfortunately

Tinklewinkle · 22/08/2018 23:09

Yep. She’s been downright horrible all day.

I can’t do right for doing wrong

It’ll all be over tomorrow so I’m ignoring the worst of it and was ready with a hug when she ended up in tears a little while ago

BoneyBackJefferson · 22/08/2018 23:32

Far to much is put on these results, there always has been, but with the change of exams it is much worse for those taking the exams now.

UrsulaPandress · 22/08/2018 23:34

Aw good luck to all your dcs for tomorrow. Cut them some slack.

papayasareyum · 22/08/2018 23:35

a couple of early ones to find out about tomorrow. I won’t have a clue what she’s got with the new number grades, can’t my head around them!

MoodyMumOfOne · 22/08/2018 23:48

Thanks all and good luck to your offspring! xxxx

Good luck to your DD.

My DD is in the same boat, all quite from her at the mo. I told her to get an early night.

It means the world to them at the moment.

Aw! I was really excited when I saw this thread title, because I have a very limited pool I can talk to about this in RL. But I thought your OP was quite mean. They've worked really hard for these. It's been going on for months. The exams this year were tough. It's a new system, so no one really knows what to expect.

That's a lot of pressure on a 16 yr old. AND it defines what's going to happen to them next.

So I clicked on this with great joy, and was saddened by what I read.

I hope everyone on here with kids getting results tomorrow gets the results they need for their next stage.

But I think I'm going to leave this thread now.

Maelstrop · 23/08/2018 00:11

This is so huge for the kids involved! Be tolerant, they’re going to be super moody til they open the envelopes.
