Ok I know it's early to be thinking about winter but i felt a slight chill today!

and I know it's a bit 70s pimp style, but I love it.... Heated faux fur blanket that's going to be oh so toasty in the winter and hopefully save me a packet on my heating bills!

A friend introduced me to hers that she sits on during cold days and saves her tons. I sat on it and OMG it was amazing! softy and lovely (no I am not affiliated with selling them). Toasty and warm.

I'm one of those lizard types that doesn't heat up by itself!! Cold everything and heating on full blast so hopefully it will save me a bit.

Ok it was expensive but... so excited !!!!

Is this a heated electric blanket? I've got one! Bloody loved it, but then the electric bit stopped working Sad

missfit123 · 22/08/2018 22:11

yes it's a heated throw! I hope mine lasts ok. it has a 3 yr guarantee though so fingers crossed it lasts at least that long or can be fixed otherwise...

Ooh yes please. That is just my kind of thing op.
Where's it from and how much roughly?
I need one of those.

missfit123 · 22/08/2018 22:19

1happy - link above! £99, expensive I know!! That said cheaper than heating the whole house -apparently 1p a night!! (or maybe less for an afternoon?).

Love throws

ScreamingValenta · 22/08/2018 22:23

I bought one a couple of years ago and it's been great. Ideal for cold winter mornings.

1happyhippie · 22/08/2018 22:23

Thank you missfit

I will be ordering myself one of those.

missfit123 · 22/08/2018 22:26

exciting 1happyhippy! let's hope we both enjoy our new purchases... I'm a bit sad getting excited about it but goodness, winter was a killer just gone eh? Why not make it a bit more snug :)

I want this so much.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 22/08/2018 22:35

Like cuddling up to an enormous furry cat.
But with fewer claws

SeekingClosure · 22/08/2018 22:40

We have two heated throws and they are wonderful in Winter, especially for wrapping round my cold feet. Ours are like fleece rather than fur and they only cost £40 each. Aldi do them in their special buys.

Jeippinghmip · 22/08/2018 22:45

I have one, I love it.

Holyguacamoley · 22/08/2018 22:47

My electric throw is one of my favourite things in the whole world.

Gardai · 22/08/2018 22:51

I have a furry heated throw too...3rd year, been dry cleaned twice and still going strong. It’s a fecking brilliant thing.

missfit123 · 22/08/2018 22:52

so glad to hear others love theirs too... super excited now!

BrokenFlipflop · 22/08/2018 22:53

Bloody superb. I also have 2 of them because it is savage here in London in the winter and I love being cosy.

MrsRubyMonday · 22/08/2018 22:54

I have a car one, plugs into the socket. Brilliant for those icy mornings when it's too cold to be out of bed but some inconsiderate boss still requires you to get to work.

(I should add, I'm not the one driving. Wife drives, I cocoon myself and go back to sleep for half hour. Highly recommend)

Judydreamsofhorses · 22/08/2018 22:54

I have this, and it is one of my favourite things in the world. Unfortunately the cat loves it just as much as me, so it’s a constant battle. (I found out last year that DP facilitated her “ownership” of it by putting it on for her in the morning before we go out to work.) I dithered about buying a second one for her, but she changes her mind about which is “her” seat every month or so.

NotTakenUsername · 22/08/2018 22:54

I have never heard of such a thing until now... but my eyes watered at the price!

What do you think of this as a budget alternative?

missfit123 · 22/08/2018 22:59

I know slightly OTT price NotTaken, agreed... your option is a great price! I don't love brown personally but if you do then why not. But see there's a teal one on the same site for slightly more which is more my colour. I am now wondering.... do I need TWO!? (one to go on my bed and one on the sofa!!?).... argh someone get me away from the internet....!! before I broke myself!

DS was VERY excited earlier when I showed him, he's only little, bless him. The softness appeals!
