I’m currently applying for a dream job - same sort of responsibilities but in a very different industry, one that I have always wanted to work in (and finally have something to contribute!) On the application form you have to state your current salary, which is where I’m unsure- my current salary is a lot higher (like two thirds higher) mostly due to the field I currently work in paying very well and field I want to work in paying not very well! But we have done the sums, can manage and this new job is inthe industry I have always wanted to work in. I fully accept the pay cut. However will this put them off giving me an interview? Should I address the pay cut in my covering statement? Any help would be great!!
