does anyone use regular weekend evening childcare?

LP - have a 5yo DD. I don't have any local support and exP is getting even more useless. I need to rely on him less.

Does anyone use a regular ofsted registered weekend evening childcare person? I need one night a week to go out and sort my head out!

Are they hard to come by?

Sitters.co.uk is your friend for this. They are all fully vetted and local, and if you use them often enough generally you get the same few regular sitters.

They are hard to come by and very difficult to search for online as childminders will say they do evenings on their profile but what they mostly mean is until 6/6:30pm at the latest so you can only find out by contacting them all.

I need evening childcare one day a week and it has been a royal pain in the backside to be honest.

Try Sitters and ask on your local childcare fb group if anyone does evenings. Most of us have very early starts so evenings aren’t popular but if someone is quiet at the moment they might be interested.
