He was only 43 :( My nephew was obsessed with this show as a preschooler. Sad news. I shall sing 'Master Of Disguise' in tribute.

Oh no. Sad news.

Oh that's so sad. 43 is so incredibly young too. I didn't realise he was so poorly. Just heartbreaking for his family

Foslady · 21/08/2018 22:10

Just seen this, I loved him in Lazy Town
Such sad news.

AuntieStella · 21/08/2018 22:18

Absolutely devastated :( he loved children and my son loved lazy town, as did I! I still play the album in my car, even though my son is 14!

CiderwithBuda · 21/08/2018 22:55

DS loved Lazytown. So sad. So young. Pancreatic cancer is horrific. Really hoping they manage to cure it.

GlacindaTheTroll · 22/08/2018 07:44

Oh no!

And so young

HamishTheTalkingCactus · 22/08/2018 07:55

aw no :(

ipswichwitch · 22/08/2018 08:13

I’d read that he was ill earlier this year. So sad, and so young too. He was fabulous as Robbie Rotten, my two loved him

unicornchaser · 22/08/2018 08:54

Awe this is sad! My nieces and nephew loved lazy town and bizarrely I have had the theme song stuck in my head all night before reading this!

Willow2017 · 22/08/2018 09:15

Oh that is so sad. My kids loved Lazy Town too.

R.I.P. thank you for giving kids so much fun.

maggienolia · 22/08/2018 09:34

So sad and so young. Admiring his tight trousers was the only thing that made Lazytown bearable for me.

So so sad.

LazyTown was a favourite in our house, many years ago, when our children were toddlers.

ForalltheSaints · 22/08/2018 17:50

Very sad for a death at such a young age. Thoughts for his family and all who knew him.

Redcrayons · 22/08/2018 17:53

A favourite with my two, in fact it was my teen who told me. I didn't think he'd really remember or be interested.
Such a shame, and so young.

Also Robbie Rotten was The best character.

CakeNinja · 22/08/2018 17:59

My dds were so sad hearing this. I have many happy memories of them dressed up as lazytown characters, one of them was completely fixated on her sportacus costume and wore is absolutely everywhere.
We watched an episode on YouTube last night for old times sake!
Poor Robbie and family Sad

pieceofpurplesky · 22/08/2018 18:33

DS came in to tell me this morning. He said that 'Robbie' and Barry Chuckle had died in a week and he was really sad. Part of his childhood.

CharlotteFlax · 22/08/2018 19:16

Even with all the prosthetics on their faces him and Sportacus gave me the raging fanny gallops every day for a time in my life...

Sorry to lower the tone. I'm gutted.

Awrite · 22/08/2018 19:20

For quite some time I thought Robbie Rotten and Sportacus were played by the same actor.

WhatAmISupposedToBeDoing · 22/08/2018 21:12

Charlotte Grin

CakeNinja my nephew had the costume, it's hard to believe how quickly he has turned into a great big almost-teen from that soft faced baby doing a Sportacus obstacle course.

AngelsAckiz I bought the album for my nephew. My sister is yet to forgive me.

I think it's lovely that he is so fondly remembered by so many people. Pancreatic cancer is a particular shit. Two dear friends of mine have lost their fathers to it in recent years.
