For the parents of teens or anyone that has an opinion..
If your 13 year old is out with mates, nowhere in particular, just out and about; what time do you say they have to come home?
It seems our opinion is different from our teens (shocker) so I'm curious?
Thankyou

tbh, none of mine have ever just 'hung around' so it never arose.
I've never had a curfew time, as, to me, it makes sense for them to come home when the things they are at finishes - be that a film, a youth group, a meeting, whatever. Sometimes that will be quite late, sometimes earlier.
When ds used to go to play football with his mates at that sort of age, then it would be 'before it got dark' . Don't know if that helps?

Sundown is the best time. Curlews are not particularly good flyers at nighttime.

When I was 13/14 playing in our cul de sac my curfew was about half 8 which sounds quite reasonable at such a young age. 10pm curfew when I was 15/16 (Upgraded to 10:30 when I was 17 lucky me!)
Personally I wouldn't let a 13 year old out and about on their own in the evenings when it's dark, only on the street outside the house or friends houses.
