What kind of 6 yr old - sporty / bookish / imaginative..? Well received things at that age here included: my little pony, sparkly notebooks, colour changing magic pens, science potions kit, Lego, jenga, and reading books (Claude the dog v popular, or joke books).

Sorry just seen the reply! Reasonably bookish, quite girly in a singing/dancing way but def not afraid to get muddy and dirty! Are there any trends/must haves with 6 year old girls?

My six year old loves L.O.L dolls, they are all the rage atm. As well as build a bear, anything unicorn and My Little Pony.

DelurkingAJ · 21/08/2018 20:13

You know her best...I know several girls who would hate pamper type treats and others who would adore it. Does it need to post?

Smiggle and Tina seem to be all the rage but are expensive.

Tinc even...blooming autocorrect!

Anything Shopkins seems to be popular with girls that age too.

My DD wants roller skates for her 6th bday (though parents may not thank you!)

Otherwise: books, stationery/craft materials. Paint Sticks by Little Brian are brilliant. DD has a toy microphone she loves (again not a parent pleaser!). Money box? Accessories - kids jewellery, hair things. Something for her bedroom?

Trends - my little pony, squishie toys, unicorns, shopkins...

On the muddy side, you can get den kits or forest activity kits that are fun.
